For us, at Bali Boo, making sustainable products is more than just creating eco-friendly products. We believe that what makes a brand sustainable isn’t only making products with a low ecologic impact. For us, being sustainable is about going the extra mile. It’s about approaching sustainability from the bottom up. From impulsing education programs to collaborating with advocacy organizations. It’s about rethinking the way in which we make, deliver and present our products. And, of course, by making sustainable products which respect our planet and everything that lives in it: humans, animals, and plants.
All our products are sustainable because they serve a purpose to fight plastic pollution. They are reusable, 100% biodegradable and, most importantly, made in a way that is respectful to our planet so that their ecologic impact is minimal.
We use materials that provide a solution against plastic and are easily and readily available on our planet without making use of intensive agriculture, fertilizers, pesticides, or any other harmful practices. Like bamboo or discarded coconut shells.
All our products are certified by PeTA as Cruelty free and Vegan. This means that none of our products are either made from animal products, nor they have been tested on animals in any way.
All our packagings are 100% recyclable. They are made with recycled carton or paper, and we use paper-tape to close our boxes. This means that the parcels we deliver are 100% plastic free.
We actively collaborate with several organizations around the world which promote the fight against plastic through advocacy, education and hands-on approaches like workshops and cleanups.
We support educational programs around the world that aim to create a better and more aware future for our planet by empowering and educating the youngest generations to take a stance against plastic pollution.
All our wholesale deliveries are Carbon Neutral as calculated shipping CO2 emissions are neutralized by investing in recognized carbon protection projects such as biomass, landfill, wind farms, and reforestation.
Through #TheEarthSaysThanks project we donate thousands of bamboo straws every month to local businesses in Bali which either do not have the resources, or the ‘know how’ to move away from plastic straws themselves.
By the end of 2019, we will have donated over 25000 straws. We are on a mission to eradicate plastic straws in Bali once and for all.
